An investigation of factors affecting Fast-Interaction Converter-driven stability in Microgrids

Massive integration of power electronic devices with multiple control schemes in a wide frequency range pose new challenges regarding systems stability and reliability. Interactions between the fast loops or passive elements grid, have been reported literature led to introducing type stability: Fast-Interaction Converter-driven Stability (FICDS). In this paper, factors affecting FICDS, such as tuning controller parameters, line number interconnected inverters, are explored four microgrid topologies, operating grid connected islanded mode. With use an impedance based model which tracks poles CDS transfer functions each system, their has assessed. The obtained results verified via time-domain simulations. Simulations from Gaidouromantra Greece showcase impact parameters on operation system indicate need for further investigation.
